[Prairie_Beef] Galloway's

Hi all.

As I browse through books and literature, I keep finding myself wondering
about Galloway's, or Galloway cross-breeds, as ideal for our native grass
based plans.

Mostly this is due to their nature of being pasture oriented beef cattle,
and a reputation of eating grasses and plants other cattle shun. Given
the biodiversity of our prairie grasses, this seemed a good thing. Of
course, hardy, fly resistant, tolerant of cold for sure, and our summers,
good mothering, moderate frame size, etc. all are positives.

Any thoughts?

Kevin
